# NO.37 {Beauty Review - Dirty Benefits + 10% Discount Code }

Thursday, March 16, 2017

Hello readers! It has been awhile since I have wrote a post. Plus, if you come by often you would've realize that there has been changes on the blog layout as well as the URL. So don't forget to bookmark the new URL - lynnfawong.blogspot.my :DIn today's post I am spicing things up a little by sharing about one beauty product that has been amazing to me. If you know me well enough, you should probably know that I am not a coffee person because as much as coffee lovers drink coffee to stay awake, I am the weird one who drinks coffee and falls asleep soon after. Rather than being a fan of drinking coffee, I have been using coffee on my BODY. Yes, you didn't read that wrongly. Just recently, I have included Dirty Benefits (DB) Coffee Scrub into my skincare regime. For months, I have come across this product on Instagram and seen my friends, as well as many beauty bloggers raving about this product. People who know me well would probably know that I am not born with a flawless skin. I have been having problems with acne as well as acne scarring ever since high school and over time as I get into my 20s it just worsens. In order to battle my skin issues I decided to give Dirty Benefit's Coconut Confession Coffee Scrub a try.

Dirty Benefits (DB) is an All-Natural skincare brand created for the bold, adventurous, and those who just love to get down and dirty. ;) As most of you would know, there are many types of scrubs available on the market these days, so what makes DB scrub different from the other products out there? The answer would be in the heart of the scrubs, the ingredients. DB does not use any chemical in their products, which means, no parabens and all the other harmful chemicals! DB provides a few options of Coffee Scrubs. Currently available are the Classic Obsession Coffee Scrub, Coconut Confession Coffee Scrub, and the recently launched Mocha-Cocoa Coffee Scrub. All of their products are available on Dirty Benefits Website, read on for more details of the product.

Main Ingredients Used in DB Scrubs

  • DB uses 100% Arabica coffee grounds as their main exfoliate ingredient. Caffeine from the coffee grounds stimulates blood circulation, draws water out from skin cells and leaves the skin feeling smooth and toned. Furthermore, caffeine helps to reduce the appearance of cellulite, eczema, stretch marks, age spots, acne, scars, and psoriasis.
  • Other than that, Organic Cane Sugar, Raw Brown Sugar, and Himalayan Salt works as a great exfoliator and detox to remove dead skin cells and minimizes pores.
  • Cold Pressed Avocado Oil helps in increasing collagen production which is important for keeping the skin looking young, smooth, and plump.
  • Cold Pressed Coconut Oil are great for hydration and moisturizes the skin, for the baby soft and smooth skin
  • Pure Grape Seed Oil works to lock moisture in to avoid drying out skin and to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
How To Use
  1. Get wet in shower.
  2. Take a few scoops of the scrub (according to how much you need, usually 1 spoonful is enough for my entire face and body). Pat them onto your skin.
  3. Gently rub and massage the scrub in circular motion, focusing on the problem areas of your skin.
  4. Leave on to dry for around 10-15 mins and finish with a rinse.
 * It is recommended to scrub your skin 2-3 times in a week.

Personal Review
After giving it a try I can definitely say that this product did what it claims to do. I am so in love with the product as it has helped me improve my skin condition and leaves me with a softer and smoother skin after each use. Other than face acne, I have also suffered from a little of back acne and this scrub gets rid of the problem in a jiffy! Not to forget, the scent of the coffee is so calming and relaxing!

However, the only downside of this product would be the scrub is a little harsh on the skin, hence it is important to be careful when scrubbing. Plus it should be caution to not overuse the scrub more than recommended. As for me, the scrub does not give me any issue which is good news. Although, the scrub can be a little too harsh, adding a little bit more water helps the scrub to glide smoothly.

#NO.1 {BREAKING THE ICE}

Monday, March 13, 2017

Hey guys ! So, its been years since I've blogged! Took me such a long time to actually think of a title for the blog, url address and so on. Now ta-dah ! Phew *wipes sweat* Finally everything is done and its ready to be launch! *cuts the red ribbon*

To start things of, here's a pledge to all my blog readers.

HANDS UP !

I, Idayu Izreen, promise to always update this blog and try my best to not be boring. :)

HANDS DOWN!

Moving on....

To break the ice, I think its necessary for the readers out there get an idea about the writer behind this blog. Therefore, lets start with :

10 THINGS ABOUT ME!
( sounds exciting right? No? hehe )

1. I LOVE FOOD!
Yes I really really really love food a lot.
I live on the principle that I live to eat instead of I eat to live.
hehe

2. I LOVE MY MUM MORE THAN MY DAD
First of all, I really hope that my dad won't be reading my blog. Haha.
Well, instead of being daddy's girl I am more to being mummy's girl.
You know how most chinese would believe in reincarnation and where you use to live as someone else in the past and stuff like that? Well, I always think that I might have been my mum's lover in the past. Oh well, who knows whether its true or not? ;)

3. I HATE LIARS.
Yes, who doesn't? But really, trust me, if you do not have any necessary, important or life threatening reasons to lie. DON'T and NEVER learn to lie. One small lie could lead to a big lie and one lie won't stop till you start telling the truth. It will go on in a big round circle until you fail to lie and when that happens. You'll have a really super hard time dealing with everyone. You know how the story about the boy who cried wolf ? Yeah, that's a really good story.

4. I AM A SUCKER FOR ROMANTIC STUFF.
Call me cheesy or what. But yeah, I think I have been influenced by all the korean and taiwanese drama out there. But how can you not love those romantic things like backhugs and how 100 roses means loving you for 100 years or more !

5. I LOVE DANCING.
Dancing is something I've always wanted to do ever since I was a child. But my parents never allowed it. I don't know why. Maybe because of money reasons and how dancing isn't as viral as it is now? Or how its not necessary at all. Well, I've liked gymnastics since the age of 10. Watching how my friends would get to learn it and playing around with those colourful ribbons and all makes me jealous! I still remember when my music teacher used to make us dance and battle it out at the front of the class or split us into groups and we have to choreograph and compete at the stage, I was always the one that will go out to battle all the way. Now to think of it, I wonder where did I get all my courage to dance infront of around 40+ students! At the age of 12 when shuffling was a big hit among the students in my school, and how my guy friends would start some shuffling mob or contest at the school, and how my brother would spend his time shuffling at home made me learned to shuffle too. I also remember learning cha-cha to perform for graduation day because there wasn't any more dancing competition for standard 6 students at that time :( How unfair! But it was a fun experience, learning to dance especially with a guy for the first time in my life . I remember how my partner would hold my hands and ask me why is it so cold. Well, I was in an aircond room! Haha. At the age of 14 I performed for my principal when she retired. I remember being foolish during dance practice and did some funny moves in the end to end up falling down and hurt my toes badly. I had to perform with a badly hurt toe. Hahaha. Now, it's been years since I've danced. Waiting for my opportunity to leave secondary school and go for dancing classes!

6. I AM VERY QUIET IN PERSON.
Yes, I am. That might be shocking for some of my friends. Because I can be surprisingly noisy and maybe annoying at times. It gets worst when I am hyper . Haha. I am the most quiet when I am with my family members . I don't know why.

7. IF I AM QUIET AROUND YOU.
a) I could be observing every little things around me b) I just don't know how to start the conversation or maybe I don't know what to say at all (This happens all the time) c) I could be angry at you

8. I CANNOT STAY MAD AT SOMEONE FOR LONG
The longest time I've ever stay mad at someone I guess is less than 5 hours? Haha. I just can't , I don't know why. But I believe it's something good .

9. I CAN SMILE /LAUGH EASILY
I smile at almost anything or everything . It can even be something that's not funny at all. That's how easy I smile or laugh. My friends sometimes would think that I am crazy.

10. I HATE BEING ALONE.
The topic says it all. I don't know why I really don't like going anywhere or doing anything all by myself . I just don't like the feeling. Maybe I am not independent enough? Hmm.. I don't know.

There's more things to know about me , but I guess I should just stop at no. 10. Maybe in the future I would write another 10 ? ;D

Now,I shall end my first ever blogpost . Hope everyone enjoyed and manage to learn a few things about me . Have a goodnight everyone!
